Raspberry Pi, the credit card size single board computer, screams MakerSpace but needs a little help getting started. If you have one of these computer boards or would like to give one a try, join us as we unbox the board, setup NOOBS, and begin exploring some of the projects for which a Pi is well suited. We will start at the Root level and guide you through formatting the SD Card, installing the OS, running command line setup, exploring Scratch and Python, and learning how to program the general purpose input\output bus connected to a breadboard for testing simple electrical circuits. The workshop fee includes a Raspberry Pi kit.
