For 25 years, MacPhail Center for Music, a community music school based in Minneapolis, has been a national leader in developing partnerships in collaboration with schools, hospitals, senior residencies, and other organizations. Created in response to rural communities seeking to supplement the learning in their schools, MacPhail’s Online Partnership Program is a broadband-intensive, innovative music learning program where 200+ MacPhail Teaching Artists connect with schools and early childhood centers. This session will talk about MacPhail’s Online Partnership Program and the intricacies of teaching live interactive music lessons via video conferencing and Skype.
