Create a Film Festival to Engage Young Writers

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Join us to learn about our first annual schoolwide film festival (grades 1-5, plus alumni). You will learn strategies to start your own class and/or school film festival. We will share ideas for getting staff, community members, and parents involved. We will provide all documentation developed for the festival process (e.g., writing strategies, information letters, permission forms, writing/filming rubrics, jury selection, media promotion, and event coordination). We will highlight numerous apps and processes our student used in their film production (e.g., green screen, stop-motion, live acting, voice recording, film editing).
