Note to Selfie: Put the Lens on Student Learning

When students turn the camera on themselves, their creative juices begin to flow. Teachers can help fuel that creativity and foster critical thinking skills by implementing “selfie” student projects. In this session we will use the SAMR model to explore ways students can use the iPad as a creation tool to maximize student engagement, foster collaboration, and communicate thoughts and ideas. Bring your iPad to this session so that after discussing projects and viewing examples, you can participate with hands-on activities. A selfie-stick may be helpful, but not required.
