TIES 2015

We will share how Austin High School made tech integration a bottom-up movement instead of a top-down directive. A technology exploration group of 15 teachers met regularly throughout the 2014-2015 school year to get an understanding of our school's barriers to technology integration. Once these barriers were defined, we worked to eliminate them through cooperation with IT, district administration, students, and other teachers. This process led us to the 2015-2016 school year, during which we will be conducting a 9th grade laptop pilot with plans to be fully 1:1 in 2016-2017.
