Minecraft entertains millions of youth across the globe primarily because of its easy-to-learn construction mechanic to build, create, and share experiences with others. As a lean forward design editor, teachers have quickly adopted Minecraft for teaching and learning opportunities in and out of the classroom. This session introduces just a few of these ideas, then will give you and other participants a chance to break up into subject area groups and brainstorm new ideas for classroom projects, student clubs, and events that allow students to engage with ideas, problem solve with classmates, and learn digital literacies along the way.
