Teach Local and Remote Students Synchronously

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Home sick? Traveling? No problem! When students are unable to attend class in person, they don’t need to miss class and catch up later. Instead they can join class via Internet conferencing tools (such as Google Hangout or Skype) and not only hear and see class, but also participate actively in both small and large group activities. In this session, I will be joined by a student who will share her experiences in taking classes fully online from a remote setting. Together, we will demonstrate and describe multiple strategies for engaging students at remote sessions within a face-to-face class.
