Though many educators desire to use technology in their classrooms, often a perceived skill deficiency and fear of failure may keep them from taking advantage of the opportunities technology presents to enhance teaching and learning. Carol Dweck's work on Growth Mindset has important implications for how technology coaches and administrators approach technology integration and professional development efforts. By training teachers to develop a growth mindset with regard to technology, we can build their capacity to more meaningfully integrate technology into their instructional practice, embrace challenges, take risks, and collaboratively build a systemwide culture of innovation.
